Our Single Equality Scheme

Wiltshire Probation Service now has an all–encompassing SINGLE EQUALITY SCHEME. This Scheme demonstrates our commitment to eliminating discrimination in everything we do, from delivering our services, to employing our colleagues and purchasing services. We believe that this approach will be more effective as it brings together our existing schemes addressing Race, Gender and Disability discrimination and adds to these the important areas of Age, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Religion or Belief.

An ACTION PLAN has been created as a result of our review and we are committed to seeing through the priorities highlighted within this 'living document' which will be updated regularly by our Equality Steering Group. Finally, we have also published our EQUALITY IMPACT ASSESSMENT TOOL. This is used to assess our policies, processes and procedures and indicate which areas we need to address and improve.
